Household and & Hygiene Items for Family of 4

Location: Minneapolis

Category: Health, Shelter

Story

Mom is a hard-working single mom of three, doing everything she can to provide for her children. Despite working full-time, it’s still a struggle to cover daily essentials while also saving for something bigger — a safe, stable apartment where her family can finally have a place of their own.

Right now, meeting some of their basic needs — like household items and essentials — would ease her daily burden and free up precious resources so she can save toward her first month’s rent and deposit.

One of her children has Type 1 Diabetes and there are extra costs associated with this. But because mom works full time and is living a little bit above the poverty line, she is unable to get assistance with her child’s medical needs. Its really hard to work so much and still not make enough to support your family. Knowing her community cares for her and is rooting for her would go so far.

While all children grow at their own pace, some children experience delays in development. Special health conditions may also affect development. Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) offers information, support and referral services to help at no cost to families. ECSE programs provide supports and services to infants, toddlers, and preschool children with a delay or disability and their families.
